On 7 July, a meeting was held at the headquarters of GDDKiA with representatives of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Transport and the Sichuan Vocational and Technical College of Communications in China. The participants had the opportunity to exchange knowledge on topics such as the transmission of traffic information and the functioning of access points in both countries. To this end, GDDKiA presented the National Access Point service for traffic information and the National Traffic Management System project on the TEN-T network.
Sichuan Province is an area in central China with a population of over 81 million, covered by a network of 9,785 km of motorways. Due to its location and transit traffic, traffic and traveller information management are of significant importance.
