• Just three months after announcing the tender procedure, on 2 December 2019, we signed a contract for: ‘Taking over the maintenance, implementation of modifications and development of the National Access Point to Traffic Conditions Information (KPD)’. This contract is, in fact, a continuation of the existing KPD service, which is used to transmit road data through a single nationwide access point that can be used directly by road administrators, the media, services and travel information providers.

The contractor, Matic, will continue to maintain the KPD service independently for the next 24 months (and for up to 36 months if GDDKiA exercises its option) and will implement selected modifications to the system as part of its development work.

It should be noted that the scope of modifications to the system includes, among other things, the addition of new types of road obstructions, as well as making the map with obstructions available to all interested parties without the need to log in, and the introduction of additional layers on the interactive map, including restrictions at border crossings and traveller service areas.

The value of the contract is a maximum of PLN 1,476,000.00 gross without the right of option, depending on the number of man-hours used in the development work on the KPD.
